Day 48, 27 states completed.

Well today was quite the day. If you haven't been watching the national weather report, you wouldn't know just how nasty it's been in the part of the country DJ has been traveling through. Torrential rain, lightning, thunder and hail followed DJ throughout the day as she traveled through the Ohio valley. After several hours of horrific weather DJ stopped at a intersection and looked in one direction thinking she would be crossing a one way street, as she pulled out a car traveling in the opposite direction at a high rate of speed swerved missing her by inches. Naturally DJ was shaken by the incident, but she was also angry the fatigue from riding in such terrible weather had sapped her strength and dulled her normally cat like senses. She pulled into a gas station to collect herself , just then a preacher who was riding behind her in his car having witnessed DJ's near death incident stopped to ask if she was okay. DJ assured the preacher she was fine and thanked him for his concern, after sharing a prayer together the preacher wished DJ well and donated $20.00 to the cause. DJ couldn't help but think that God had been watching over her and had protected her from harm so that she could continue her mission to save lives and make a difference. By the way Big Bertha has over 186,500 miles on her and is still going strong, just like the lady who rides her. Until next time God Bless... Updated by DJ's husband Mark.
