Back in the saddle again!

DJ is up and running and would like to thank the good folks at Streit's Honda of Gainesville, Florida for replacing Big Bertha's rear tire with one I overnighted from our Posey Foundation office in Albuquerque, NM. DJ had kept a rear tire that had only 4000 miles on it (never throw away good rubbber)..........hopefully this one will not pick up anything before 2 NEW tires are scheduled to be put on in Montana - before the trek to Alaska. Streit's gave Big Bertha a good going over - donated an oil change & new rear brake pads and treated DJ like a part of their family. DJ would also like to say thanks to Honda Roadside Service for getting a tow truck to aid ASAP today after the plug blew - leaving DJ & Big Bertha stranded 5 miles north of Streit's. The tire went completely flat and Big Bertha's kickstand wouldn't go down - so DJ had to balance her big machine in the Forida sun until help arrived. A kind soul came by on his MC to help get DJ & Big Bertha far enough off the road (OUT OF TRAFFIC) It was a good thing DJ was off the interstate - her speed was 40 thank GOD not 70, things could have turned out so much worse!! Thanks to Shane & Keith of Northwood Towing for getting Big B. to the shop SAFELY!! And to the guys of Florida that stopped by the roadside to offer HELP - THANKS!! Weather and technical difficulties have eliminated Key West from the picture. DJ is still in Florida, but has her sights set on points North - 18 states & 12,000 to go, Until next time... God Bless.
