Alaska!

DJ is in Alaska! Today was a mix of ups and downs. This morning DJ saw a Mama Grizzly and her two cubs. I asked her if she was able to get some pictures, but she said it didn't seem right. Just being able to share a moment in the lives of a Grizzly family was enough. She said the Mama Grizzly was a beautiful cinnamon brown color with the wind blowing through her fur as she ran, and the cubs were cute as button. It was a magical moment, but it was short lived and before long it was back to the reality of the Alaska Highway and its wet gravel roads,cold rain and hail. When I spoke to DJ by phone just a little while ago she said she still had about a hundred miles to go before reaching her stopping point for the night. She said that there was a steady mix of rain and hail coming down and that road conditions were treacherous. So Lord if your reading this Blog please keep a watchful eye on my wonderful lady and guide her safely through. Amen! DJ wanted to say thank you to Jessica for her very special donation.
